Become a Motivation Master

You may know that I run multiple blogs. Well I just finished putting together the most complete & what I believe to be the most effective motivation system on the planet.

It is currently selling for $97 & will shortly sell for $197 (because it includes access to me to answer any questions you have and help you in any way I can).

However, I am currently running a contest where you can get the entire system (and lifetime updates) for free!

You can get all the details here:

Cheat Your Way Thin VS Combat the Fat

Is Cheat Your Way Thin Better Than Combat the Fat?

I’ll say right up front that I am not the creator of either of these programs, nor am I associated with either one. So I will be completely unbiased in my comparison. I have purchased each one of these programs and provided my opinions here for you to evaluate and hopefully aid you in making the right decision.

First Reason Why Combat the Fat is Better Than Cheat Your Way Thin

Combat the FatCombat the Fat is based on Jeff’s experience in the U.S. Military where he was a Master Fitness Trainer & a Weight Control Specialist. Troops were handed over to him and it was his job to get them in shape and he had to keep his troops in shape.

If he didn’t get the troops in shape, they could be in danger on the battlefield (who do you think is gonna get hit first – the fit guy or the chubby, out of shape guy?) or they could be sent home – neither of which is a good thing.

He created Combat the Fat based on everything the U.S. Military taught him from their multi-billion dollar research and his experience testing different things with the soldiers he trained. His methods are proven and the military trusted him with getting their soldiers in shape no matter what age, gender, body type, genetics, experience, or whatever else you can think of that makes it easier for some people to get & stay in good shape  - so their lives depended on him succeeding. I don’t think you can get better proof that the stuff he teaches works, and it works for anyone.

Cheat Your Way ThihnCheat Your Way Thin, however is based on Joel’s experience with his clients. I’m not saying he doesn’t know what he’s talking about – he does. And he gets results for his clients. But some of the stuff he teaches is not necessarily the best way to do things (which many people will debate, but like I said, this is my opinion based on my knowledge, experience & research).

Joel has done his research, but I guarantee it’s nothing close to the research and experimentation the U.S. Military has performed and there’s no way he’s tested his strategies on nearly as many people. In his entire life he couldn’t do the testing the military can & has performed, no matter how hard he tries.

So as valid as his research may appear, I’m fully inclined to follow the U.S. Military strategies over Joel’s – even if his stuff does get results.

Another Reason Why Cheat Your Way Thin Loses

Cheat Your Way Thin is based on the premise of strategically cheating so you can stick with your diet and get results. In fact, the headline on the sales page states that you can regularly eat ice cream, burgers and other foods that are cut out of most diets.

However, Joels idea of “regularly” is not anything close to the same as mine. Unless you consider 2 “cheat days” in the 3 week primer phase & 1 “cheat day” per week after that regular, you do not regularly get to eat those types of foods.

2 Cheat Days In 3 Weeks

(excerpt from Cheat Your Way Thin manual)

On the other hand, Combat the Fat doesn’t make any claims about cheating but Jeff still tells you include one cheat day a week!  That’s right. He tells you to cheat as much as a program that is supposedly based on letting you eat “good” food more than other programs.

There are guidelines for the cheat days in both programs, but Cheat Your Way Thin is supposed to let you cheat more than other programs, yet Combat the Fat lets you cheat the exact same amount.

One Cheat Day Per Week

Final Blow to Cheat Your Way Thin

This is actually two blows in one. Cheat Your Way Thin is only a 53 page guide with an extra 10 pages of workouts and a checklist and a couple other little things – compared to Combat the Fat which is 160 pages, plus a 44 page nutrition guide & an 87 page workout guide as well as multiple other bonuses.

Combat the Fat Table of Contents

Now that in itself is not a determining factor, Combat the Fat could be fluff. But it’s not. Combat the Fat is jam packed FULL of information. I wouldn’t have shortened any of it.

Yet after going through both programs, I was confused by Cheat Your Way Thin. In Cheat Your Way Thin you’ve got higher GI/GL days, low GI/GL days, low carb days & cheat days. Then you’ve got all this stuff about GI & GL systems and “rating” carbs and I just found it too darn confusing.

It’s just all so much more work than it has to be. It’s a lot more like a diet, and not a lifestyle like Combat the Fat.

With Combat the Fat you follow the nutrition guidelines every day and a little bit changes when you do workouts (like consuming more protein after the workout) but it’s pretty much the same stuff every day, you just have to follow the same basic guidelines.

Last Thoughts About Cheat Your Way Thin & Combat the Fat

I have bought & read through both programs, I always want to stay up to date on all the information that’s out there to see if I can improve my health.

As of right now, Combat the Fat has a lot of information that Cheat Your Way Thin just doesn’t include – and it’s all easy to understand and every page is jam packed full of great stuff.

Cheat Your Way Thin is more like a diet (in my opinion) where Combat the Fat is definitely a lifestyle and Jeff has an entire section devoted to getting you to stop dieting, and I for one don’t want to diet.

   Jeff Anderson Says STOP DIETING!

I will admit without a shadow of a doubt that Cheat Your Way Thin works. And some people may prefer to have a program set up where they have a whole day where they can eat whatever they want rather than just a little bit each day.

I, however, choose to follow Combat the Fat whenever I want to lean up, and I follow the rules & guidelines Jeff shares in my daily life.

So now you have two choices:

1. If you prefer something that’s a lot shorter, a little more confusing (in my opinion), but still gives you results and allows you to get started faster because there’s not as much information to go through, then grab a copy of Cheat Your Way Thin.

2. If you’d rather have a sustainable lifestyle, all the information you could possibly need about getting lean & staying healthy as well as proven strategies used by the U.S. Military & get fast, sustainable results, then get your copy of Combat the Fat.

Whatever you choose, take action right away. Neither choice is right or wrong. Don’t put off your health any longer than you have to.

Combat the Fat Program Review

combatthefat1 468x60 Combat The Fat Program Review

Before I get into my review, here’s a video of me purchasing Combat the Fat (I went and got the deluxe version cause I’m hardcore and want everything I can get to help me improve my body & health):

This text will be replaced

(At some points in the video the pages load slowly due to the software running on my computer – the site loads fine, it’s just the software I was running made everything load more slowly – the video also contains me going through the sales letter, so you can skip ahead if you like)

Now, as seen in the video above I did actually purchase Combat the Fat and this is an honest review of the materials provided.

Also please note at the end I review the components only in the deluxe version, so there are some components I’ll go over that you will not receive if you just get the basic program.

Combat the Fat Basic Program:

Combat the Fat ManualCombat the Fat Manual

The manual is 162 pages long, so I’m not going to go into too much detail about what exactly is in it, but it’s basically the whole system that Jeff created based on what he learned as a Weight Control Specialist & Master Fitness Trainer in the U.S. Military.

The manual begins with a section on how to get the most out of the manual, so you are prepped beforehand to make sure you’re not wasting any time. Then there’s a blurb about Jeff & an introduction to the Combat the Fat Program.

Once you’re prepped and ready to go, then he gets into the 8 components of the program which are:

1. Mission Planning – This is basically discussing laying out a plan and laying it all out so you have a plan to follow rather than attempting to fly by the seat of your pants. Already in this part you can see the soldier in Jeff coming out as he compares fat burning “mission planning” to mission planning in the military. I hope you like military metaphors.

2. Stop Dieting – Jeff discusses how you are going to take the principles and make them healthy habits and completely change your lifestyle, so the information will be with you and keeping you lean & healthy all the time, rather than just going on some diet to lose weight quickly.

3. Chemical Warfare - Gotta love the military terminology that makes it all seem a lot more intense. This section is devoted to human cells and a bunch of factors that I don’t think other programs think to cover (like chemicals from a variety of sources).

4. Nutritional Firepower - This is obviously not in great detail as there’s an entire guide on nutrition (reviewed below), this is just the basic nutrition of the program and it’ll give you a good overview.

5. Fat Blasting Hormones - Hormones play a large part in fat burning, though most people don’t talk about them. Jeff spends almost 20 pages discussing hormones and their affect on your lifestyle.

6. Maximum Metabolism - Everyone knows that metabolism plays a large role in fat burning. People complain that other people are skinny just because they have an unfair high metabolism (I’ve been on the receiving end of the envy). But it’s not just that they were born or gifted with a high metabolism, lifestyle makes a big difference and there are a number of factors that affect metabolism. Jeff shows you how to maximize your metabolism so you can have people jealous of you.

7. Military “PT” - This section is all about different types of training, the pros and cons of each and what is actually the best type of training for fat burning. He backs it up with scientific research and proof that it actually is the best. Plus the fact that the U.S. Military actually uses it.

8. Killer Instinct - Basically, this is a section devoted to getting & keeping you motivated throughout the program so you’ll actually follow through and get the results, even when it seems impossible.

Overall the manual is clear and easy to understand. I like the fact that he has little blurbs throughout where he highlights all of the big points you need to remember (HINT: If you want to get the gist of the program just read those blurbs and you’ll get enough to start getting some results!).

One thing I think is missing from the manual that would make it better is a summary of each section because there’s a lot of info in some of the sections and I would’ve liked to have a quick summary at the end to reiterate the major points of the section.

Combat the Fat Workout GudieCombat the Fat Workout Guide

The workouts are pyramid workouts, which are designed for maximum fat loss. The workout guide contains workout logs, exercise tables, training notes, a pre-program workout for those who haven’t been exercising regularly, exercise descriptions & pictures and workouts for any range of fitness level.

The exercise descriptions are handy and the workout logs make it really easy to follow and keep track of what you’ve been doing and what you need to do next.

The colors are kind of funky since he’s got a military theme going on, and I admit I’m not to fond of the colors on the printable workout logs…but that’s why there’s black and white printers.

Combat the Fat Nutrition GuideCombat the Fat Nutrition

The nutrition guide is a 44 page guide that covers many aspects of nutrition. It begins by discussing what protein, carbohydrates & dietary fats are, what they do & what roles they play in a healthy lifestyle. The information is solid and easy to understand, without a bunch of confusing terms and whatnot and he explains it all so when you’re done it’s clear what those three are and how they affect your body.

Then he spends 5 pages discussing portion control without counting calories. Jeff is pretty adament about not wasting your time counting calories, and he shares some way easier ways to control your portions. He even shows you how to use your hands to keep you on track.

Next is the Daily Diet Guide. This includes 10 pages that basically break down the entire nutrition system into 8 guidelines that you remember and follow every day to see great results. So instead of having to remember everything in the guide, you just have to remember 8 things.

The next section is the one my sister liked the best, and that is…cheating. There’s 4 pages devoted to cheating and how to cheat on your nutrition in order to get BETTER results. My sister was pretty excited about this part.

After that he goes into a bunch of stuff regarding planning ahead and making it easier to follow the proper guidelines. Plus he provides an entire grocery list so you know what to get at the grocery store. He provides some other tips like “Don’t go grocery shopping while hungry” and a bunch of other little things like that that most people don’t think of but make a big difference.

Then he goes into “Restaurant Survival Tactics” & “Late Night Snacking”. Both can be big problems when trying to get & stay lean. No worries. Jeff’s got you covered and shows you how to work with them instead of fighting them.

Despite all of the great information he provides on nutrition, he doesn’t cover different body types and how they are affected. Since Combat the Fat is based on military training and it is designed to work for any age, gender & body type, he doesn’t go into the details about how to get better results for different body types. I know most people I know can’t eat breads and pastas without gaining weight, but I eat them all the time and I don’t gain weight.

So there are probably some more nitty gritty details about body types that could make the nutrition a little more effective, but what he provides works for everyone so you don’t have to worry about body types and you’ll still get good results.

Combat the Fat 6 Week Meal Plans6 Week Combat the Fat Meal Plans

I’m personally can’t really use meal plans. I’m allergic to food – some more than others – so there’s foods I can’t eat, plus foods I just don’t like. So I just use meal plans as guidelines, and I still find them useful, but I think they would be a lot more useful for people who can eat more foods.

And before you ask, I am actually allergic to all food. I have to eat slowly and drink a lot of liquid as I eat, otherwise my esophagus swells and the food won’t make it down to my stomach. Some food is worse than others, so I just avoid it otherwise it would take me hours to eat it.

Combat the Fat Bodyfat CalculationCombat the Fat Body Fat Calculation

This guide is handy for figuring out how much body fat you actually have. It’s an adapted version of the manual used by the U.S. Military to tell how much body fat their soldiers have, so it’s pretty effective.

He even tells how men and women need to measure differently as women have to take into account their hips, which men do not need to. He also includes diagrams so it’s easy to see exactly what you need to do.

If you follow the steps he lays out, you’ll know without a doubt what your body fat percentage is.

AGT 5000 Growth Tracking Software AGT 5000 Tracker Software

The software is easy to install and uninstall (and only takes a few seconds) and it is very easy to use. There is a help button that walks you through everything clearly and easily, and the software works well for keeping track of your progress. I think the best part is that it’s really simple, so you don’t have to spend forever trying to figure out how to use it.

The software is great just to keep track of what progress you have made and to motivate you to continue. If you can’t see the results you’re getting, it’ll be more difficult to stay motived. This helps overcome that by letting you see your results.Combat the Fat 90 Minute Q&A Audio Session

90 Minute Q&A Audio

This is pretty self explanatory. Jeff answered some of the most common questions in this 90 minute Q&A session.

There’s also a bonus 6 pack interview that’s a surprise bonus along with the Q&A audio, so you get one more bonus that he doesn’t even tell you that you’re going to get!

Combat the Fat Free DVDFree DVD & Coaching

The DVD and coaching is great, especially if you need additional help. The bonus 6 pack in 6 weeks program is completely different from what I expected and included stuff I never would have thought would be in there. However, I won’t share what’s exactly in it - just know that it’s good.

Combat the Fat Deluxe Program:

The deluxe program consists of 9 audios, transcripts for the audios and workbooks that go along with the audios. Some of the information is the same stuff that is covered in the basic program, just in audio format with workbooks (and obviously worded differently so it may help you understand some things better).

Some of the information is not covered in the basic program (hence why it’s the deluxe program), life for instance the 80/20 rule of fat loss.

If you’re like me and you want as much information as you can get, or you prefer to learn through audio, then the deluxe program is perfect for you.

Combat the Fat Program

Summary:

In summary, Combat the Fat is probably the best fat burning program I have come across. It’s based on the multi-billion dollar research of the U.S. Military and Jeff’s experience as a soldier, and he has scientific studies to back up the program.

There are only a few things I dislike about the program, but neither will prevent results. In fact, the results from Combat the Fat are excellent and more long-lasting than other programs (permanent if you follow Jeff’s advice and make it a lifestyle rather than a diet).

I highly recommend Combat the Fat. After checking it out, it’s the program I purchased for my twin sister, and it’s the program I recommend to my friends and family.

I want to make the deal a little sweeter for you though. I know that Combat the Fat does cover motivation, and I also know that it’s one of the biggest things that keeps people from succeeding in many areas of life.

I am very good at motivating myself, and I have learned a lot from starting my own business about what motivates people. Recently I created a program I call “Motivation Mastery” which lays out how to motivate yourself and I even share examples.

When you get Combat the Fat at http://www.combatthefatprogram.com (make sure browser cookies are enabled), you’ll immediately get an email from me with FREE access to my Motivation Mastery program. It’s the perfect addition to Combat the Fat, and it will give you a greater chance at success not just in leaving a leaner, healthier life, but in any area of life.

What to Do Now?

Grab Combat the Fat at http://www.combatthefatprogram.com and upgrade to deluxe if you want to. Check your email for access to Combat the Fat and my Motivation Mastery bonus. Go through the materials, take action, and see results!
